“Lord of the Flies,” a limited series adaptation of William Golding‘s landmark 1954 novel, is coming Netflix.
After debuting in the UK last month, the dystopian drama will stream in the US on May 4.
Emmy winner Jack Thorne (“Adolescence,” Enola Holmes) created and wrote the show, with Marc Munden (“Utopia,” The Secret Garden) directing.
In the four-part series, innocence descends into savagery when a group of English schoolboys becomes desert island castaways.
Winston Sawyers, Lox Pratt, David McKenna, and Ike Talbut star with Thomas Connor, Noah Flemyng, Cassius Flemyng, Cornelius Brandreth, and Tom Page-Turner.
Backed by Sony Pictures Television, executive producers include Thorne via One Shoe Films, Mund, and Joel Wilson & Jamie Campbell for Eleven (“Sex Education”).
“Lord of the Flies” features music composed by Hans Zimmer (Dune, The Dark Knight), Kara Talve (“The Simpsons”), and Cristobal Tapia de Veer (“The White Lotus,” Smile).
