‘The Terror: Devil in Silver’ Starring Dan Stevens Sets May Premiere, First Images Revealed

AMC+ and Shudder have set a spring release date for “The Terror: Devil in Silver.”

The third installment in the anthology series will premiere May 7, with new episodes streaming out every Thursday for six weeks. It will also air on AMC later this year.

Dan Stevens stars as Pepper, a working-class moving man who, through a combination of bad luck and a bad temper, finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital – an institution filled with those society would rather forget.

There, he must contend with patients working against him, doctors harboring grim secrets, and perhaps even the Devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde’s walls – but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.

Judith Light, CCH Pounder, Aasif Mandvi, John Benjamin Hickey, Stephen Root, Michael Aronov, Marin Ireland, Chinaza Uche, Hampton Fluker, b, Hayward Leach, and Philip Ettinger also star.

“Devil in Silver” is based on the 2012 novel by Victor LaValle, who serves as co-showrunner with Chris Cantwell (“Halt and Catch Fire”). Karyn Kusama (Jennifer’s Body, The Invitation) directs the first two episodes.

Ridley Scott executive produces with David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger for Scott Free Productions, along with Alexandra Milchan for Emjag Productions, Guymon Casady for Entertainment 360, Brooke Kennedy, LaValle, Cantwell, Kusama, and Stevens.

“The Terror” premiered on AMC in 2018 with a season focused on a British naval expedition stuck in the ice while searching for the Northwest Passage. “The Terror: Infamy” followed in 2019, centered on a malevolent, shape-shifting force locked up with prisoners in a Japanese internment camp during World War II.
