From Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, spinoff series “Talamasca: The Secret Order” has already been cancelled after a single season, Variety exclusively reports tonight.
The series premiered October 2025, focused on the men and women responsible for tracking and containing witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe.
“While we are not proceeding with another season of Talamasca: The Secret Order, we are proud of the series and grateful for the efforts of everyone involved,” AMC said. “The Talamasca has a storied place within the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and we expect to see at least some of these characters, and the organization itself, in future expressions of the franchise.”
Nicholas Denton starred as Guy Anatole, alongside Celine Buckens, Jason Schwartzman, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.
John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side) and Mark Lafferty (“Halt and Catch Fire”) were showrunners and executive producers, with John Lee Hancock seated in the director’s chair.
“Talamasca: The Secret Order” was the third series in AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe, following in the wake of “Interview with the Vampire” and “Mayfair Witches.”
The third season of “Interview with the Vampire” is titled “The Vampire Lestat” and will premiere June 7, while “Mayfair Witches” will return for Season 3 sometime next year.
