Following in the footsteps of Joe Bob Briggs, fellow beloved ’90s late-night movie host Rhonda Shear is experiencing a career resurgence on streaming.
In the wake of the recent revival of Up All Night — the film showcase she hosted on the USA Network between 1989 and 1998 — Shear is launching her own Roku channel next Friday, April 17.
The Up All Night Network will feature new and classic Up All Night segments, the Between the Sheets video podcast, content from throughout Shear’s career, movies, comedy specials, music, behind-the-scenes fun, and more.
“I’m going to show everything that I love,” Shear explains in the video below. “I already have 450 films that I’m starting off with that the channel will have.”
“Bigger and better” episodes of the Up All Night reboot are slated to shoot in May and June, produced at Shear Media Studios in Tampa Bay.
In addition to the Roku channel, Shear will continue working with BloodStream, which is home to Between the Sheets. She’ll be hosting a specialized version of Up All Night with trailers for the streamer’s content rather than full features.
