Meet the dastardly villains of “Spider-Noir” in the new featurette below, courtesy of IGN.
Brendan Gleeson says of his take on Silvermane, “He’s psychopathic but also a little bitter smarter than your average narcissist,”
“The Sandman is the ultimate anti-hero,” explains Jack Huston. “This power of a superhero is also what’s killing him.”
“This Tombstone is way more interesting,” says Abraham Popoola. “He links the classic comic book character with a very grounded story.”
“There’s all these other bad guys with powers, but I think they’re trying to solve a problem. Dirk is the problem,” adds Megawatt actor Andrew Caldwell. “It’s about getting his moment at all costs.”
The video also features a glimpse at Jack Mikesell as the fire-wielding Jimmy Addison, a new character created for the show.
Based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir, the live-action series will debut on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25 before all eight episodes stream on Prime Video on May 27. It will be available in both color and black & white.
Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Reilly, a seasoned, down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life, following a deeply personal tragedy, as the city’s one and only superhero.
Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, and Karen Rodriguez also star.
Co-showrunners Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (“The Punisher”) developed “Spider-Noir” with the team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal.
Harry Bradbeer (“Fleabag,” Enola Holmes) directs the first two episodes. Sony Pictures Television produces.
Executive producers include Lord, Miller, Aditya Sood & Dan Shear for Lord Miller, Pascal for Pascal Pictures, Cage, Uziel, Lightfoot, Bradbeer, and Pavlina Hatoupis (“The Alienist”).
