Prime Video rewinds to the ’50s today with the reveal of the first look at Vought Rising, the new spinoff series set within the world of The Boys.
Watch the first look teaser below to get a peek at the next chapter, premiering on Prime Video in 2027.
The series “explores the twisted origins of Vought International.” It’s been described as a murder mystery that traces the origins of the evil Vought corporation.
The supes at the center of Vought Rising include:
- Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy
- Aya Cash as Stormfront
- Mason Dye (Teen Wolf, Stranger Things) as Bombsight
- Elizabeth Posey (Heels) as Private Angel
- Will Hochman (Blue Bloods) as Torpedo
KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith also star.
Paul Grellong will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes also serve as executive producers on the series.
Kripke recently teased that viewers should expect a much grittier tone than The Boys. “It’s definitely got some Boys‘ DNA in that it’s irreverent and graphic,” Kripke said. “But it has this sort of lovely, almost noir-like murder mystery — not Black Noir but actual noir. There are detectives and twists, and there’s a murder that then opens up into a bigger conspiracy.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

Ancient Magic Meets Murder Mystery in Teaser for AMC+ Series ‘Yaga’ Starring Carrie-Anne Moss
AMC+ and Crave unveiled a first look at the upcoming mystery thriller series YAGA at the San Diego Comic-Con International this weekend, ahead of its debut this Halloween season.
The new eight-episode, half-hour drama reimagines the myth of Baba Yaga as a contemporary mystery thriller set in a small coastal town, and it’ll arrive this October on AMC+.
Yaga follows “Rapp (Noah Reid, Schitt’s Creek, The Vampire Lestat), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Hudson Williams, Heated Rivalry). He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Clark Backo, Venom: The Last Dance, Letterkenny), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss, Matrix Films, Memento), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives, and ancient magic.”
The series is based on the hit play by showrunner and writer Kat Sandler.
Sheila McCarthy, Megan Follows, Ezra Franky, Patrick Gilmore, Katharine Isabelle, and Hiro Kanagawa, along with Emilija Baranac, Georgia Acken, Anisa Harris, and Sam Krochmal also star.
David Frazee (Chapelwaite, Reginald the Vampire) and Rachel Talalay (Riverdale, A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting) serve as co-directors for Yaga.
Mackenzie Donaldson, Andrew Miller, and Carrie-Anne Moss are executive producers; and Charles Cooper is producer.
Watch the new teaser below that dabbles in magick and sets up an atmospheric murder mystery surrounding the slavic folklore of Baba Yaga, a which who devours flesh and lives in a hut with chicken legs.
