Third Trailer for Overkill’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Video Game Introduces Grant

Published

We met a character named Aidan in the very first trailer for Overkill’s upcoming video game The Walking Dead, set in the same universe as the comic books and television series’ but telling a story entirely its own. Later, the second one introduced Maya.

A third trailer released today lets us get to know Grant, an old timer who’s searching for his granddaughter in the wasteland. In Grant’s character trailer, he kicks back and drinks a bottle of whiskey with a zombie, which already makes him my favorite.

The game, coming in Fall 2018, will expand upon “The Walking Dead” Universe by introducing brand new characters, tasked with fighting for their lives among the undead.

“OVERKILL’s The Walking Dead is a four player co-op action FPS, where you and your friends fight the dead as well as the living. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount. The action is close-up and intense: take out enemies carefully with silent melee attack or go in guns blazing with your choice of each class firearms. You need to be able to improvise as nothing is certain and a horde of walkers is always right around the corner.”

Overkill’s The Walking Dead will sink its teeth into Steam, Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Nintendo Switch 2 owners will be getting their own version of Devil May Cry 5 later this month when Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition launches digitally on June 23. A physical edition of the game will follow on August 28. Players who grab the pre-order or buy the digital version of Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition by July 7 will be eligible for a discount.

First launching on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam way back in 2019, Devil May Cry 5 has become (so far) the best-selling entry in the series. The game will arrive on the Switch 2 in the feature-packed Devil Hunter Edition, with pre-orders available now. The game is essentially the equivalent of Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, and comes packed with Vergil as a playable character, in addition to bonus content including costume colours, taunts, and battle tracks. Devil Hunter Edition sports a smooth 60 frames-per-second across both TV and handheld modes.

The threat of demonic power has returned to menace the world once again in Devil May Cry 5. The invasion begins when the seeds of a “demon tree” take root in Red Grave City. As this hellish incursion starts to take over the city, a young demon hunter Nero, arrives with his partner Nico in their “Devil May Cry” motorhome. Finding himself without the use of his right arm, Nero enlists Nico, a self-professed weapons artist, to design a variety of unique mechanical Devil Breaker arms to give him extra powers to take on evil demons such as the blood sucking flying Empusa and giant colossus enemy Goliath.
