A long time ago, we brought you the teaser trailer for developer MrCiastku and publisher Fat Dog Games’ surival horror game, Apparition. Well, after the long wait, the game is finally hitting Steam this Halloween!
Retailing for $14.99, Apparition puts you in the fictional American forest of Green Creek, where as a paranormal investigator, you’re so determined to capture evidence of the paranormal, that you’re willing to risk your own life in the process. Borrowing a mechanic from the Fatal Frame series, you earn points in Apparition by capturing evidence of ghosts and other supernatural phenomena using cameras, audio recorders, motion sensors and other devices. The points earned can then be used in stores to purchase new pieces of equipment, as well as craft items to upgrade your abilities.
