When we last heard about the remastering of the original Fear Effect, entitled Fear Effect Reinvented, it had its announcement trailer at Gamescom 2017. So yeah, it’s been a while. Well, Publisher Forever Entertainment and developer Sushee have finally given us an update on the game in the form of the first screenshots ahead of the game’s playable debut at Paris Games Week 2018, which is on now until October 30.

From the looks of things, the remaster will keep the original fixed cinematic camera angles, which is good news for those who are sticklers for that sort of thing. Hopefully the controls get the needed addressing, since they were one of the biggest issues in the original game.
Fear Effect Reinvented is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC later this year.
