Capcom has seemingly struck gold again, at least with PC players. As of this writing, Devil May Cry 5 (which we loved) has a concurrent player peak of 88,894, which is more than Capcom’s other recently-released hit, the Resident Evil 2 remake, which sits at 74,227. This is also more than Resident Evil VII‘s 20,449.
This effectively makes DMC5 Capcom’s second-biggest PC launch ever? The biggest? That belongs to Monster Hunter World, which sits at over 300,000 concurrent players. So sure, Dante and company aren’t even close to Monster Hunter, but in the end, almost 89,000 players in the first week isn’t anything to sneeze at.
And while Capcom doesn’t have any post-release plans for Devil May Cry 5, the sales charts may change that once the console numbers roll in.
Devil May Cry 5 is also available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
