A long ways back (two years, in fact), we mentioned The Outsiders’ first-person adventure game known as Project Wight. It’s not been revealed that the game will officially be known as Darkborn. In fact, IGN have a 15-minute gameplay clip available for you to oogle below.
The game takes the unorthodox approach of you playing as the monster (known as a Darkborn) against a band of Viking-like marauders known as The Pale Enemy. In case you’re wondering, you’re not the villain in this one. It’s made even more clear when you realize that The Pale Enemy torture, kill, and perform blood rituals with the corpses of the Darkborn creatures.
Over the course of the game, you’ll play as multiple generations of Darkborn as you learn The Pale Enemy’s motivations and exact your revenge upon them.
No release date has been mentioned yet for Darkborn, but look out for it on PC, and potentially PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
