A fine time for me to have just re-bought a copy for my PlayStation 3.
According to the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee, a new rating has appeared for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered for Xbox One. The title is listed as being published by MadDog Games, which more recently had co-published World War Z. There’s even a website for the game, though it’s currently not live.
Of course, nothing is set in stone, but with the original movie’s 35th anniversary this year, coupled with that sweet Steelbook set coming later this year, the documentary at Cannes, and of course that new Ghostbusters film next year, you don’t need a Magic 8-Ball to see where this is going.
Currently, there’s no word on if the PlayStation 4 will see a release, but that’s pretty much a given. Originally released in 2009 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, PC and the Nintendo DS, Ghostbusters: The Video Game was for many the third Ghostbusters film that we never got with the original cast.
