Bruce Campbell Confirms That a “Fully Immersive” ‘Evil Dead’ Video Game is Coming Soon!
There have been many rumors about the future of the Evil Dead franchise in recent months, but one thing we can 100% confirm is that a brand new Evil Dead video game is coming!
Back in August of last year, you may recall, we originally broke this tidbit of news when we sat down for an interview with Bruce Campbell, who teased:
“They are doing a video game. A whole immersive kind of dealio. I’ll be Ash for that, because I wouldn’t want someone else’s voice hamming it up.”
Some fans had been wondering if Campbell was referring to Ash’s addition to Dead by Daylight, but in a new chat with TV Insider, he makes it clear that it’s a full-on Evil Dead game!
“We’ll see more Evil Dead, that’s for sure. There is an Evil Dead video game out,” Campbell told the site. “A fully immersive video game probably within a year. I’m not sure about the day. There will be variations of that. There won’t be the original Ash anymore. That guy is done.”
Over the years, Campbell voiced Ash for multiple Evil Dead video games, including Evil Dead: Hail to the King, Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick and Evil Dead: Regeneration.
If you were wondering just where Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was all this time, you won’t have to wait much longer. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio have announced via a new trailer that the game will launch for the Xbox Series, Day One with Xbox Game Pass, as well as PlayStation 5 and Steam on August 27.
