First Free DLC Update Coming to ‘World War Z’ in June; Private Lobbies and New Mission!

Published

I’ve been having a blast with Saber Interactive’s World War Z video game these last few weeks, which brings new levels of fun to the zombie shooter by putting you up against not just hordes of zombies, but literal *seas* of zombies. Like the movie, the game features stacks upon stacks of zombies to shoot, slice and explode your way through, and it’s quite satisfying.

Those waiting for new content will be happy to hear that Saber will be dropping the very first FREE DLC content on June 3rd, which will include the third mission in the Tokyo map!

The update includes:

  • the new Tokyo mission
  • an FOV slider
  • private lobbies
  • a special new zombie
  • and more!

From what we gather, the new zombie can revive itself after being killed!

The full release of V Rising is coming up quick. And just in case the upcoming Castlevania crossover wasn’t enough, Stunlock has released a new gameplay trailer showing off the new Ruins of Mortium endgame zone for V Rising.

Once the heart of the powerful Vampire civilization, the Ruins of Mortium now lies in ruins, teeming with the cult-like remnants of Dracula’s forces. Players will encounter the Draculin, creatures tainted by Dracula’s influence, and face off against his Vampire Generals. The ultimate challenge awaits as players journey into the depths of Mortium to confront Dracula himself. While battling through his forces and disrupting dark rituals intent on reviving the ancient Vampire king, players will uncover ancient powers and prepare for the ultimate showdown against the tyrant himself.

Ruins of Mortium is just one piece of the new content for V Rising when it launches in full. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

  • Explore a new deadly endgame zone: The Ruins of Mortium
  • Experience dynamic endgame events
  • Fight a new breed of foe and new V Blood bosses
  • New weapons, A new tier of equipment, and magic improvements
