[E3 2019] Go Down to the Woods in a Creepy New ‘Blair Witch’ Game!

Huge news comes out of the Xbox E3 Briefing in which it was announced that we’ll be getting a surprise Blair Witch game this coming fall!

Produced by Lionsgate, and developed by Layers of Fear‘s Bloober Team, the reveal trailer shows some typically creepy and weird shit in the woods. Blair Witch will be a first-person, story-driven psychological horror game based on the cinematic lore of Blair Witch.

Here’s the synopsis that was provided to us:

“It’s 1996. A young boy disappears in the Black Hills Forest near Burkittsville, Maryland. As Ellis, a former police officer with a troubled past, you join the search. What starts as an ordinary investigation soon turns into an endless nightmare as you confront your fears and the Blair Witch, a mysterious force that haunts the woods…”

“We are so thrilled, and honestly a little scared, to bring all players, especially fans of Blair Witch, back into the haunted woods. It is genuinely an honor to be working on such a hair-raising, paradigmatic experience, which defined so many of our lives!” said Piotr Babieno, CEO at Bloober Team.

The game heads to PC and Xbox One on August 30. If anyone can do Blair Witch justice, it’s Bloober.

Stunlock Gives a Glimpse of New Content for ‘V Rising’ With Ruins of Mortium Gameplay Trailer [Watch]

The full release of V Rising is coming up quick. And just in case the upcoming Castlevania crossover wasn’t enough, Stunlock has released a new gameplay trailer showing off the new Ruins of Mortium endgame zone for V Rising.

Once the heart of the powerful Vampire civilization, the Ruins of Mortium now lies in ruins, teeming with the cult-like remnants of Dracula’s forces. Players will encounter the Draculin, creatures tainted by Dracula’s influence, and face off against his Vampire Generals. The ultimate challenge awaits as players journey into the depths of Mortium to confront Dracula himself. While battling through his forces and disrupting dark rituals intent on reviving the ancient Vampire king, players will uncover ancient powers and prepare for the ultimate showdown against the tyrant himself.

Ruins of Mortium is just one piece of the new content for V Rising when it launches in full. Here’s a rundown of what to expect:

V Rising exits Early Access on Steam on May 8th, alongside the Legacy of Castlevania crossover. A PlayStation 5 version will also be released later this year.
