[E3 2019] ‘Rainbow Six: Quarantine’ Looks Like a Co-Op Sci-Fi Horror Game!

Published

on

Ubisoft Montreal is creating a brand new PvE co-op Rainbow Six game called Quarantine and it appears to be a Sci-Fi Horror game.

Little was mentioned, but the trailer features a man trying to control what looks like a digital infection rising in his arms as the sounds of snarling comes from nearby. He’s rescued by soldiers and seemingly about to head into danger.

It’ll take the core of what made Rainbow Six: Siege so successful as a PvP title and make a horror-themed PvE co-operative experience that could be Ubisoft’s answer to Left 4 Dead.

We’ll be keeping a real close eye on this one. It’s set to come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.

2007 FPS Horror Game ‘Dementium: The Ward’ Heads to PlayStation Today [Trailer]

In a blast from the past, developer atooi will release today Dementium: The Ward for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The first-person horror shooter originally got its start on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, before making its way to the 3DS in 2015, and finally landing on the Switch last October.

The PlayStation version of Dementium offers up “crunchy retro” and revamped HD display modes (presumably, this is similar to the free update the Switch version received last year), and has been “built from the ground up for the big screen”. Obviously, the game will lose its touchscreen capabilities from the Nintendo consoles, but will still run at a silky 60 frames per second.

Dementium: The Ward centres around William Redmoor, a man with amnesia, who wakes up in a seemingly abandoned medical ward. He soon finds out that he’s not quite as alone as he initially thought, as demonic creatures are roaming the hospital. Equipped with a flashlight and a nightstick, William must not only fend off the creatures, but also solve puzzles and find the exit and escape.

No word on if the sequel, Dementium II (which was also originally released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS), will be given the same treatment.
