Remedy’s Sam Lake Holding Out Hope For ‘Alan Wake 2’
There were more than a few of us overjoyed at the fact that Remedy had regained the rights to Alan Wake. And inevitably, the talk of Alan Wake 2 sprung up once again (especially after Remedy’s original attempt fizzled out).
In a new conversation with IGN, Remedy’s Sam Lake addressed the elephant in the room, saying that he’s still holding out hope that one day, Remedy would try again to create a follow-up to the 2010 original.
“I want to make it,” said Lake. “At this point, so much time has passed. I feel that the bar is higher in some ways. It needs to be done right if it’s ever done. Everything needs to click into place, which is really hard to make it happen. So many things, for these big games to be greenlit, need to be aligned. But I’m hoping that someday…”.
At the moment, Remedy is still focused on getting the psychological thriller Control out the door next month on August 27 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
But then there’s also that TV series that Lake and Remedy are still shopping around, so at least fans have a few irons in the fire.
