Grab ‘Alan Wake’ For Free Next Week on The Epic Games Store!

Published

While we hold out hope for Alan Wake 2, Remedy has a little something in store for you next week: A free copy of the original Alan Wake!

Yes, now that the franchise is back in Remedy’s hands, they’ve decided to give the game away for free (for a limited time) on the Epic Games Store.

This of course means that the current crop of free games this week, which includes 11 Bit Studios’ This War of Mine, will only be available until August 2. After that, you can grab Alan Wake from August 2nd until August 9th.

Sell Hot Dogs by Day, Gather Ingredients by Night in ‘Meat Grinder: Hotdog Simulator’ [Trailer]

Ultimate Games is getting in on the horror job sim genre next month with Panic Panda’s Meat Grinder: Hotdog Simulator. Launching on August 11 for PC via Steam, the open world title will also be making its way to PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series at a later date.

Combining horror elements, grotesque humor, and retro PS1-style graphics, Meat Grinder: Hotdog Simulator has players arrive in the foggy town of Grimshore and open their own hot dog shop. Things are a real struggle to keep the business running while also securing your products.

During the day, you’ll be grilling the sausages, slicing the buns, frying up the potatoes, and doing the good entrepreneurial work your customers expect. Keep customers happy, keep the money coming, and reinvest in your growing fast food empire. At night, you’ll need to stock up on ingredients for hot dogs and other products. That involves dipping into Grimshore’s graveyard. Head out after dark, source some fresh ingredients, and get them back to the shop before opening time.

In amongst the side quests, the main plot sees you uncovering the stories of Grimshore, which the town would rather keep buried. You’ll also be digging into your own character’s past, though you may not like what you find down there.
