Lovecraftian Horror Rises With ‘The Sinking City’ on The Switch September 12th

So, after that gameplay reveal last week, you’re probably wondering just when we’ll see that release date for Frogwares’ The Sinking City on the Nintendo Switch. Wonder no more, as Frogwares have announced September 12 as the date you enter the madness in Oakmont.

Keep in mind that the Switch version of The Sinking City is currently a digital-only edition for now. “We initially wanted to do a physical release – we know lots of players prefer these – but we were eventually forced to put this off for now,” explains Frogwares’ Sergey Oganesyan. “We didn’t want to take too long to release the game on the Nintendo Switch, but going into the logistics and distribution of physical editions would push the release back by months.” However, Frogwares is leaving the possibility of a physical release open in the future.

As a way to make things up, Frogwares will not only have a selection of timed pre-order bonuses for the Switch version, but also a Deluxe Edition of the game, which includes additional side missions. The standard version will retail for $49.99, while the Deluxe Edition is set for $64.99.

The Sinking City is also available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
