As they always do, Tripwire Interactive is celebrating the Halloween season with a brand new holiday update for Killing Floor 2, with this year’s event titled “Grim Treatments”!

And since it’s October 1st and all, the “Grim Treatments” update launches today!

Launching for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC via Steam, the Killing Floor 2: Grim Treatments free update introduces gloriously gory Halloween-themed Zeds, new map, Ashwood Asylum, the Nuked Objective Mode, limited-time cosmetics, and more enticing additions!

Likewise, Killing Floor 2: Grim Treatments includes a new Objective Mode, Nuked. In the Nuked Objective Mode, players can experience Zed slaying amidst the fallout of a nuclear detonation. Players will follow Dr. Ogada Buyu’s endeavor to rescue a boy trapped in the catastrophe, and like other Objective Mode adventures, Nuked comes supported with specific goals and cut scenes to create a thrilling and immersive experience.

Along with these additions, Killing Floor 2: Grim Treatments also includes other exciting content, such as new weapons, balance changes, and new, limited-time cosmetics!

In Killing Floor 2, join a motley crew of civilians, soldiers, and mercenaries as they band together to fight off waves of murderous Zeds, horrific and monstrous clones that have descended upon continental Europe following an outbreak caused by the Horzine Corporation. Choose from multiple classes, tons of weapons ranging from traditional assault rifles to off-the-wall “Mad Scientist” tools of slaughter, and customize the perfect Zed-slaying warrior with a wide variety of perks geared toward different playstyles and roles.

With support for up to 6-players in Survival Mode, 12-players for Versus Survival, and regular free content updates consisting of new maps, weapons and gameplay enhancements, Killing Floor 2 is the perfect starting point for players looking for FPS multiplayer mayhem.

‘Dying Light 2’ Receives New Difficulty Mode and More With “Nightmare Mode” Update [Trailer]

Not to be outdone by Dead Island 2‘s recent expansion, Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 is getting an update of it’s own with the much-requested Nightmare Mode, which adds “the hardest and most immersive difficulty yet” to the game, along with an array of additional elements.

Nightmare Mode for Dying Light 2 forces players to rely on tactics and strategic management of resources in order to survive. The new difficulty introduces changes to stamina management, called the Tactical Stamina system, limited HUD options for better immersion, and a flickering flashlight that goes out when used for too long. These and other additions aim to heighten the atmosphere give the overall experience a needed refresh for veteran players. Those who manage to complete the game on this highest difficulty will be rewarded with the memorable Waltz Outfit.

The Nightmare Mode Update adds more than just the new difficulty. New adjustments to the Infected and night experience are also part of the update. What’s more, co-op players will be glad to hear they will now be able to take on the Community Maps with up to three friends. Archers will get reworked power shot mechanics. And you even have the opportunity to change the appearance of the Grappling Hook.

Dying Light 2 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
