As they’ve done in years prior, Tripwire Interactive are once again bringing the Halloween festivities to Killing Floor 2 with the free “Blood and Bonfires” update. Available today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam, the update includes a new map, mode, and weapons, as well as a host of quality-of-life improvements.

The Blood and Bonfires update Halloween event will run from October 13 to November 10, and introduces a variety of new content and game updates. Barmwich Town is the new map for Survival, Weekly, and Endless game modes that finds players exploring a mysterious medieval town, which has been infested with terrifying Zeds.

The new map also brings with it new time-limited objectives, which once completed, earns you the Plague Doctor Backpack. There are also Halloween Treat Prize Tickets, along with Golden Prize Tickets.

“Blood and Bonfires” also brings with it a new weekly game mode to Killing Floor 2. Called Primary Target, the game mode sees one player chosen as the VIP, and all Zeds will target the VIP. If the VIP dies, the full team is defeated, so you must protect them at all costs! The VIP can’t heal themself, but will start with extra health points, and the VIP can improve their damage output and resistance with low health points. The match lasts for seven waves and a new VIP is chosen for each wave.

As for weapons, you have two free HRG Weapons in the HRG Locust and HRG Dragonsblaze, as well as two new paid DLC weapons in the Blood Sickle and G36C Assault Rifle that each come with five weapon skins.

Finally, you have your Cosmetics, which includes four Weapon skin bundles and one Outfit bundle:

  • Plague Doctor Weapon Skin Bundle Pack
  • Xeno Weapon Skin Bundle Pack
  • Classic MKII Weapon Skin Bundle Pack
  • Chameleon MKII Weapon Skin Bundle Pack
  • Character Outfit: Plague Doctor

After its biggest update ever back in January, the time has finally arrived for Lovely Hellplace and DreadXP’s Dread Delusion to exit Early Access. The horror-tinged open world RPG will leave the Steam Early Access service on May 14, and has a new release date trailer to celebrate.

Dread Delusion has been in Steam Early Access since June 2022, with developer Lovely Hellplace continuously updating the retro-inspired and exploration-centric RPG with new content and improvements. With the upcoming 1.0 release, Dread Delusion will be adding a new realm called the Underlands, as well as new towns, new dungeons, new quests, new endgame content, cursed enemies, countless pages of dialogue and lore, and much more. More info on the launch update will be revealed as the 1.0 release approaches.

Dread Delusion will also be part of this year’s LudoNarraCon festival on Steam, which will also include a 20% discount from May 9th to the 16th.

Inspired by classic RPGs of the 2000s, Dread Delusion takes place in a broken world. Its surface seethes with an undead curse, while humanity clings to flying continents in the sky. From mushroom forests to undead mausoleums, these strange places and their denizens await you. You must find a way to mend this fractured world , or if you choose, seek power and profit for yourself.
