Ahead of the release of Zombieland: Double Tap in theaters on October 18, High Voltage Software and GameMill Entertainment are unleashing tie-in video game Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip on October 15, a brand new console game that takes place between the events of the original Zombieland film and this year’s years-later sequel!
The team promises, “Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip is the wild, twin-stick cooperative shooter that tells the story of how the characters you love found their way from Pacific Playland at the end of Zombieland to the start of the sequel. With mayhem, irreverence, and more gore than the ESRB recommends you witness, we’re bringing you an untold chapter in the lives of our heroes. Take the role of one of the classic four heroes, or even one of the new faces, and combat an endless horde of over-the-top zombies!”
The game’s story is completely original and is not tied into the upcoming film.
You’ll be able to select from Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock to play as, alongside new unlockable characters from the sequel. Using your special abilities, an arsenal of weapons and the essential Zombieland rules for survival, you’ll be able to play a story-based campaign mode, a wave-based horde mode, and ongoing daily and weekly challenges.
The game features 1-4 player co-op combat, over 18 levels & locations and 16 zombie types!

Road Trip will be available on PC, PlayStation® 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
