Hot on the heels of Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood‘s announcement, publisher Bigben have also announced another game in the The World of Darkness universe in Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, which was alluded to earlier this year.
Set for release in 2021, Swansong is based on the fifth edition rules of the Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop game (much like the other title announced in the The World of Darkness universe, Coteries of New York). You control three different vampires during the course of Swansong, with each one loyal to the Camarilla, a secret society consisting of their kind. The three’s individual stories will intertwine, while also having to keep watch over their clan, looking out for power struggles and potential murder.
Again, not much to go on, but for fans of the Vampire: The Masquerade series of games (starting with Bloodlines 2), next year is going to be a big one. There’s no confirmation on the title’s chosen platform. But considering that most of the games in the series are on PC, it’s likely that Swansong will see a release there.
