‘Bloodborne’ Modding Community Uncovers Loran Cleric Boss Fight

Published

on

From Software have a habit of leaving cut content in their games, and once again, fans have discovered more of that content. Modders for Bloodborne have uncovered a boss fight with the mysterious Loran Cleric. The Loran Cleric exists in the game already, but according to the game’s files, the Loran Cleric was supposed to have a more prominent presence in the game.

According to the files, the Loran Cleric, which is found in the Loran Chalice Dungeons, would have also appeared in the Forbidden Woods, Old Yharnam, and the Upper Cathedral Ward. On top of that, there were variants of the base Loran Cleric — a variant version titled “Fort” is referenced in Bloodborne‘s files that seems to culminate in a boss fight. In the video below, the modding community was able to reconstruct the missing boss fight, although the AI is a little suspect.

As mentioned, the community has also been able to find and restore content from Bloodborne before this, including the restoration of a Snake Ball boss fight, as well as uncovering Father Gascoigne as an NPC. It makes you wonder if From Software’s recent game, Sekiro, has its own secrets…
