‘Alisa – The Awakening’ Offers Free Throwback Survival Horror With Dolls

If you’re in the mood for more throwback PS1-era survival horror, indie dev CasperCroes has a demo you might want to check out. Calling back to the first Resident Evil games, instead of zombies, Alisa – The Awakening (which you can find a demo of on its itch.io site) has you fighting off dolls.

In Alisa – The Awakening, you play as Alisa, an Elite Royal Agent who was tracking a wanted criminal, wakes up in a strange Victorian mansion that seems to be someone’s personal life-sized dollhouse. You’ll have to explore said dollhouse, solve puzzles, discover dark secrets and fight off the deadly life-sized mechanized dolls that roam the halls.

So yes, the game makes no secret in regards to its inspiration. If evoking memories of tromping around the Spencer Mansion, complete with stairs, fixed camera angles and tank controls is your thing, definitely check this one out.

Props to Alpha Beta Gamer for this one.
