New Update to ‘Maid of Sker’ Introduces First-Person Shooter Elements in New Challenge Modes
Wales Interactive is bringing a new set of Challenge Modes to their horror title Maid of Sker. Most notably, the new modes introduce first-person shooting to the game as a free update. In fact, to celebrate the occasion, Wale Interactive is offering a 25% discount for the game on Steam until March 10.
At the moment, the update is only available on PC, with the console version currently in the works. According to the press release, the update includes the following:
- Game modes: The Long Night, Axe of Kindness, Nightmare at the Hotel, In Darkness. Lives are limited to three chances in these modes, so make ’em count.
- Weapons: Felling axe, .357 Magnum, sawn-off double-barrelled shotgun, bolt-action infantry rifle
- Enemies: Six enemies patrolling Sker Hotel, some new, some familiar, all with unique powerful abilities
- Leaderboard: Fully supporting Steam Global Leaderboards for each game mode
- Additional: Support added for PlayStation DualSense Controller
Maid of Sker is currently available on Steam, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox One.
If you were wondering just where Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was all this time, you won’t have to wait much longer. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Asobo Studio have announced via a new trailer that the game will launch for the Xbox Series, Day One with Xbox Game Pass, as well as PlayStation 5 and Steam on August 27.
Pre-orders are open now, and include the Heritage Pack DLC and an in-game digital artbook.
