[Trailer] ‘Dying Light’ Addon “Hellraid” Receives Free Story Mode And More in Update

Published

on

Even after finally announcing a release date for Dying Light 2, Techland is sticking to their promise to continue releasing post-launch content for the original Dying Light. The latest comes in the form of a free story mode for their standalone-game-turned-addon expansion, Hellraid. The story mode has players, either solo or co-op, take on a series of “narrative-rich quests” to save a mysterious mage from the depths of Ba’al’s Temple.

In addition to the new mode, Hellraid is receiving a bunch of new weapons (including the addon’s first ranged weapon, the devastating Corrupted Justice bow), zones, and visual improvements including the lighting system overhaul, revamped environmental audio, and a myriad of quality-of-life updates.

Dying Light can be had on PC via Steam or GOG, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Dying Light 2 is set for a December 7th release date for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
