Sony State of Play Announced For July 8, Includes New ‘Deathloop’ Footage

Published

on

Sony has announced a new State of Play for this Thursday, making up for their no-show at last month’s E3. The broadcast kicks off at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET.

The highlight of the half-hour broadcast will be a nine-minute look at Bethesda’s Deathloop, as well as updates on indie and third-party titles. “In this extended gameplay sequence, we’ll see Cole use his abilities to stealthily skulk across rooftops… or go in guns blazing to create a whole lot of mayhem. Lots of options available on Blackreef Island.”

The State of Play will not, however, include an update on God of War: Ragnarok, or any of Sony’s plans for the next generation of PlayStation VR.

Deathloop is set for release on the PlayStation 5 and PC on September 14. And don’t forget to check out our preview of the game.
