Konami Resurrects ‘Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls’ For iOS And Apple Arcade

Published

on

It seems Konami’s not giving up on Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, after all. The mobile game was shut down in July 2020, but according to Konami, is now planned for release for iOS, tvOS, and Mac via Apple Arcade “soon”.

Grimoire of Souls is set in a future where Dracula has been sealed away, but “a single letter delivered to Genya Arikado… put an end to that peaceful era”. The letter contains the words “The Grimoire has run wild and Count Dracula will be resurrected”, prompting Arikado to embark on a quest to find the author and solve the mystery.

Grimoire of Souls returns once again to the series’ side-scrolling roots. The game will feature 60 levels, a wide variety of equipment, daily and weekly missions, and more. Players will unlock characters from past Castlevania games, including Alucard, Simon Belmont, Maria Renard, Charlotte, Shanoa and “more to come”. Each character will feature a unique combat style.

Thanks to Gematsu for the heads up.
