Crytek’s ‘Hunt: Showdown’ Being Adapted Into Live Action Series For Binge

Published

Fans of Crytek’s PvE shooter Hunt: Showdown, get ready. The developer has announced that the game is being adapted into a live-action series to stream exclusively on Binge, the new streaming platform showcasing premium original series and shows inspired by video games and content creators. Last month, it was announced that Nightdive’s System Shock would be adapted into a series for the service.

Like the game, Hunt: Showdown the series will take place in 1890s Louisiana, where bounty hunters compete to slay monsters. And like the game, the bounty hunters will also have to deal with their rivals, who seek to take them out. Crytek’s Avni Yerli, Faruk Yerli and Pascal Tonecker will serve as executive producers, alongside producers Allan Ungar and Vince Talenti from Binge.

“We have always known that Hunt: Showdown would look great as a live-action series,” said Avni Yerli, Crytek founder and joint CEO. “The world is dark, gritty, and immersive, and there is so much potential for many great stories to be told. We can’t wait to see what the team at Binge can create.”

Hunt: Showdown is a heart-pumping survival game with incredible lore that’s ripe for a live-action series adaptation,” adds Vincent Talenti, producer for Binge. “We’re excited to drop viewers deep into the bayou and have them come face to face with monsters and hunters alike.”

Binge is scheduled to begin operations in 2022, and will be available on TV, mobile, PC or console. Hunt: Showdown is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

“Chucky” – Official Trailer for This Week’s New Episode Brings Brad Dourif into the White House!

Brad Dourif

Just two episodes remain in Season 3 of “Chucky,” with the second-to-last episode airing this Wednesday night on USA & SYFY. It’s titled “There Will Be Blood,” and oh yes there will be.

Last week’s episode was absolutely INSANE, with Chucky taking control of the situation room in the White House and attempting to start World War 3. His plan was thwarted, but not before nuking the North Pole. In the wake of launching that missile, Chucky met the true death, his doll body disintegrating into ash like he got Thanos snapped out of existence.

The episode ended with an appearance from Brad Dourif as Charles Lee Ray in his human form, with his spirit now free from the doll and roaming around the haunted White House.

Here’s the official plot synopsis for this week’s episode: “Parapsychologists investigate the disturbances in the White House, while Tiffany (Jennifer Tilly) plans her escape.”

“There Will Be Blood” airs Wednesday, April 24 on USA and SYFY. Reversing a new plan they tested out last week, we’re told the episode will be available on Peacock this Thursday.
