‘Dead By Daylight’ Finally Heading to The Epic Games Store Next Week, Will be Free For One Week

Published

on

Behaviour Interactive will be bringing their hit asymmetrical multiplayer game Dead by Deadlight to the Epic Games Store next week. As an added bonus, the game will be part of Epic’s free game giveaway for a week, from December 2 to December 9.

The DLC will also be making its way over in the form of the Ultimate Edition, which includes the base game, all maps, and the Killers and Survivors that were previously released in their Chapter add-ons. The DLC for Silent Hill will be sold separately as the Silent Hill Edition. As expected, the Stranger Things DLC will not be making its way over, as Behaviour’s license with Netflix had ended earlier this month.

The latest chapter for Dead by Daylight, “Portrait of a Murder”, arrives next week.

‘El Paso, Elsewhere’ – LaKeith Stanfield Starring in Adaptation of Monster Hunting Video Game

Published

Last year’s monster hunting shooter El Paso, Elsewhere is headed to the screen, with THR reporting that LaKeith Stanfield (Haunted Mansion) will star in the live action film adaptation.

Stanfield will also produce the film alongside Lorenzo di Bonaventura.

THR notes in today’s report, “There is no writer or director, as the project is still being packaged in the hopes of finding a studio home. The package is seen as buzzy, as it is a video game adaptation, a bustling genre thanks to titles such as The Last of Us, the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, and the most recent hit, Fallout.”

In the upcoming movie version of El Paso, Elsewhere, “Recovering from a toxic relationship, James Savage (LaKeith Stanfield) confronts both his inner demons and enigmatic ex-girlfriend, Janet, before she executes a world-ending ritual. James navigates her reality-bending universe of ethereal monsters while facing the truth of his own addictions and skewed sense of self-worth. James learns that the only route to love is through healing.”

Developer Strange Scaffold’s El Paso, Elsewhere was released this past September.

Aaron Boehm wrote in his 4-star review here on Bloody Disgusting, “Much like its inspiration Max Payne, and other games in Remedy’s catalog, there’s a clear vision that unites every frame of this game, making for an experience that both reignites a classic action subgenre and forges an identity all its own. Few games have a better elevator pitch than El Paso, Elsewhere, and it’s awesome to see it live up to those expectations with style and heart.”
