‘Aliens: Fireteam Elite’ Coming to Xbox Game Pass December 14 With Season 2 Content

The recently-released Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be the next title to arrive on the Xbox Game Pass for PC and console later this month. Developer Cold Iron Studios announced late yesterday that the game will be arriving on Microsoft’s service on December 14th, coinciding with the release of Fireteam Elite‘s Season 2 content on the same day.

According to the announcement, the second season (entitled “Point Defense”) will feature the following free content:

  • New game mode: Point Defense
  • New feature: Lifetime Stats
  • New weapons, attachments, and cosmetics added to the game as Point Defense rewards or at the in-game store
  • New challenge cards

Alongside the release of Season 2, the second “Endeavor Pass” downloadable content pack, “The Nostromo Salvage Pack,” will also be made available. The pack, which can be had with the Deluxe Edition of the game, includes over 20 exclusive items, including two Nostromo-themed class kit skin designs and various cosmetics.

In all, the four Endeavor Pass DLCs will be available Individually for $9.99 each, or as part of the Deluxe Edition for $69.99. The Standard Edition of the game is available for $39.99, with an option to upgrade this to the Deluxe Edition.

In addition to the Xbox Series, Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass, Aliens: Fireteam Elite (which we reviewed here) is also available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.

Horror FPS ‘Hellbreach: Vegas’ Finishes Phase One of Development With “Love’s Last Stand” Update [Trailer]

Ahead of Steam FPS Fest kicking off later today, Infinity Ape Studios has announced the Love’s Last Stand update for their Early Access title Hellbreach: Vegas. The update introduces a new map, a new weapon and new cosmetics, along with several other fixes and tweaks as it prepares to enter what Infinity Ape refers to as phase 2 of development.

Phase 1 finishes off with Love’s Last Stand, which includes several fixes for Hellbreach, along with the new map in the Vegas Chapel, a new crossbow weapon , updated character models, new character and weapon cosmetics, as well as “plenty of other small changes.” You can check out the patch notes here. Phase 2 will also include a new map and character cosmetics, as well as a new game mode and new perk for your character.

The story for Hellbreach: Vegas sees portals spawning across Las Vegas, and hordes of demons have poured out, wreaking havoc on the strip. It’s you and up to three of your fellow human survivors to battle against a demon army, determined to invade a post-apocalyptic Earth. You’ll have to blast through waves of demons, earning experience to upgrade your guns, ammo, and unlock other bonuses along the way.

Currently, Hellbreach: Vegas will remain in Early Access in order to polish the game to players’ tastes, finalize maps, and implement community feedback.
