[Trailer] Slitherine Announce New RTS Game Using The ‘Terminator’ License in ‘Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance’ For 2022

Terminator fans were treated to a return of the film franchise to video games earlier this year with Teyon’s Terminator: Resistance. And in 2022, they’ll be getting more, thanks to Slitherine. As part of their Home of Wargamers Live+ winter showcase, Slitherine not only dropped more details on their upcoming RTS game based on Starship Troopers, but also announced another RTS title that uses the Terminator license!

With Starship Troopers – Terran Command expected early next year (Q1 2022), Slitherine and developer Aristocrats took the time to release a new video that focused on the dynamic music in the game. The teams also took into account the feedback received from the Terran Command demo that was out during the Steam Next Fest earlier this year to make the necessary updates for the game’s launch next year.

Of course, the big news is that Slitherine will be working with Skydance Media on Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance, a new real-time strategy game to be released on PC in 2022 that’s set within the reinvented franchise. Defiance follows the war between humanity and Legion’s synthetic intelligent machine network. In the single-player campaign, players take the role of a commander in the Founders faction and guide their army to foil Legion’s plan to destroy humanity. While in the skirmish and multiplayer modes, three factions are available: Founders, Legion and Resistance.

While details are still to come, Slitherine did reveal a brief snippet of gameplay, which you can find below.
