The story for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has the player assuming the role of paranormal investigator Paul Prospero. Prospero receives a fan letter from one 12-year-old Ethan Carter, inspiring him to come to Ethan’s hometown of Red Creek Valley, Wisconsin. Upon his arrival, however, Prospero begins experiencing paranormal phenomena, as well as evidence of some recent dark happenings in the tiny town.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is also available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
