Limited Run Games Unveils Hefty ‘Castlevania Requiem’ Physical Edition Pre-orders

Published

on

Alongside the upcoming re-release of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, Limited Run Games announced last year during E3 that they were going to be releasing a physical edition of Castlevania Requiem, which bundles Rondo of Blood with Symphony of the Night. Well, that day for Requiem will be coming January 14th at 10am ET, as Limited Run Games has announced pre-orders for the collection.

And much like they did with the physical versions for the Castlevania Anniversary Collection (still waiting on my Ultimate Edition, actually), Limited Run has gone all out with several different versions for fans. For the Standard Edition ($34.99), you get the collection on disc with a mini poster. If you’re feeling extra nostalgic, you can snag the Classic Edition ($64.99), which includes the collection, a Castlevania Requiem Soundtrack Selection, an 18″ x 24″ inch reversible Castlevania Requiem poster, and a retro style box featuring art from legendary Konami box artist Tom duBois.

Finally, there’s the massive Ultimate Edition ($174.99). This includes the following:

  • Physical Castlevania Requiem game for the PlayStation 4
  • Premium Outer Box featuring beautiful art from Ayami Kojima
  • Save Point Coffin Box – a deluxe foil-stamped two-piece box with a detachable text box recreating the iconic save point from Symphony of the Night
    • Safely holds all CE contents and displays well!
  • Additional double-sided Castlevania Requiem cover sheet featuring the original cover art for Symphony of the Night on one side and the original cover art for Rondo of Blood on the other!
  • Physical Castlevania Requiem Soundtrack Selection CD
  • Reversible 18″x 24″ Poster
  • Classic retro Konami Silver Box featuring art from legendary Konami Box artist Tom duBois
  • Official G2 Blu-ray sized Castlevania Requiem SteelBook
  • Vampire Killer Chain Pin
  • 5-inch Replicas of Alucard’s Sword and Shield
  • Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity

If that’s not enough, Limited Run Games is also stocking new Castlevania merch, including a Castlevania-themed case for your Nintendo Switch, enamel pins, a new t-shirt, poster, and even playing cards!

Hide your wallet’s eyes and hit up Limited Run Games’ website for more info.

‘Dying Light 2’ Receives New Difficulty Mode and More With “Nightmare Mode” Update [Trailer]

Published

Not to be outdone by Dead Island 2‘s recent expansion, Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 is getting an update of it’s own with the much-requested Nightmare Mode, which adds “the hardest and most immersive difficulty yet” to the game, along with an array of additional elements.

Nightmare Mode for Dying Light 2 forces players to rely on tactics and strategic management of resources in order to survive. The new difficulty introduces changes to stamina management, called the Tactical Stamina system, limited HUD options for better immersion, and a flickering flashlight that goes out when used for too long. These and other additions aim to heighten the atmosphere give the overall experience a needed refresh for veteran players. Those who manage to complete the game on this highest difficulty will be rewarded with the memorable Waltz Outfit.

The Nightmare Mode Update adds more than just the new difficulty. New adjustments to the Infected and night experience are also part of the update. What’s more, co-op players will be glad to hear they will now be able to take on the Community Maps with up to three friends. Archers will get reworked power shot mechanics. And you even have the opportunity to change the appearance of the Grappling Hook.

Dying Light 2 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
