Overview Trailer for ‘Elden Ring’ Summarizes All You Need to Know [Video]

Published

It won’t be long now for Elden Ring‘s release. With the game slated to arrive later this week, From Software and Bandai Namco have released a new overview trailer for Elden Ring that gives fans and fence-sitters a taste of what’s to come.

And what’s to come is quite a bit. Much of what’s been previously revealed about the Soulslike has been condensed into the six-minute trailer, which is far easier to digest for those still unsure about diving into another tough-as-nails Soulslike.

A collaboration between George R.R. Martin and From Software, Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between. You’re on a quest to unite the shards of the Elden Ring in order to restore it, and claim the title of Elden Lord. Standing in your way are the offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, which now rule the realm.

Elden Ring will be released on February 25 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Get a Taste of the Action-Packed Terror in the Demo for FPS Shooter ‘BLIGHTEN’ [Trailer]

For those itching for some throwback first-person shooter action, Blight Software has just had a demo released for their upcoming FPS BLIGHTEN. The demo sees you and your squad selected to eliminate the last rebels in the eastern wastes, only to have your slaughtered, and you trapped in a decaying research facility. And you’re not alone.

You’ll explore every room of the facility for resources and weapons in an effort to stay alive. Luckily, you’ll have an extensive arsenal of various firearms at your disposal, from shotguns to assault rifles.

You’ll need them in order to take down the various blight-ridden mutated horrors throughout the mega structure. As one would expect, you’ll need to scrounge for parts and ammo, so make every shot count.

Similar to what players experienced in the early PlayStation classic Alien Trilogy, BLIGHTEN sports hand-drawn enemy sprites and animation in a 3D retro world, creating a unique and dynamic atmosphere while still scratching that throwback itch.

It’s all wrapped up in a dark narrative, where an unseen evil lurks in the shadows of the facility, shaping the horrors around you as you descend deeper into the facility. As you navigate this industrial nightmare, every Blightened creature slain is a grim reminder to what you’ve lost — and the things you’re fighting for.

Look for BLIGHTEN later this year on Steam.
