RoboCop Enters ‘Fortnite’ With New Skin; Datamining Reveals Potential ‘DOOM’ and ‘Jurassic World’ Crossovers

Published

on

While he’s not quite for a dollar, RoboCop is the latest pop culture icon to make the jump to Fortnite. The skin is available as part of the Season 2 content for Chapter 3, which according to dataminers, is just the start of multiple crossovers.

Robo is available now from the Fortnite Item Shop as part of the RoboCop Bundle. The skin features the LEG-209 (which is really the leg of ED-209) as Back Bling, but also does double duty as a pickaxe. Rounding out the package is a Lil’ ED-209 emote, where Robo jumps on and rides an mini ED-209.

Sadly, we don’t get the Auto 9 pistol or data spike. But given what we know Robo has done with those, it’s probably best to keep those away from the kids.

If you thought Robo’s appearance in Fortnite was strange (though to be fair, the T-800 made the jump before him, along with the Xenomorph and Predator), according to GamingIntel, the Doom Slayer from DOOM was spotted during recent datamining by fans. Along with that, files also suggest that a Jurassic World crossover could be in the cards. We’ll find out about the latter soon enough when Jurassic World Dominion arrives in theatres next month on June 10.

‘Dead Island 2’ Second Expansion “SoLA” Available Now [Trailer]

Published

It’s time once again to return to Dead Island 2 with the game’s second expansion, SoLA, which is out now on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5 and the Epic Games Store, with the expansion coming to PC on Steam on April 22, coincidentally when the game arrives on the platform. This new expansion takes players into the ultimate Californian music festival, where a psychedelic beat unleashes chaos.

SoLA sees a deadly virus sweeping through The Valley, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. Not only that, a gore-drenched music festival in LA is sounding out a rhythm from beyond: The Beat of the Autophage. Lured to the festival by an enigmatic warning message, players must explore SoLA’s ruins and put a stop to this menace before The Beat turns the living into zombies, and spreads across the world.

They’ll have their hands full, as new zombies have appeared in the form of the Whipper and the Clotter. A new apex variant enemy driven mad with self-loathing by the Autophage, the Whipper is compelled to self-mutilate, turning them into a horrific nightmare of disembowelled intestines. As a result, the Whipper is able to use these entrails to lash out at the player. Meanwhile, the Clotter has the ability to decompose into a pile of gore, making it immune from damage in that form, and then reform elsewhere to continue the fight. Not only that, but it’s also capable of firing a powerful jet of putrid blood.

To combat these new zombies (and to make use of the game’s F.L.E.S.H. system), players have new weapons at their disposal. Notable is the Ripper, which is a fusion of a baseball bat and circular saw, turning it into a percussive machine of dismemberment. And speaking of sawblades, you now have the Sawblade Launcher, which as you’d expect, fires rotary sawblades that will cut through zombies with ease.
