‘Resident Evil’ Returns to ‘Dead by Daylight’ in “Project W” Crossover Today [Trailer]

Published

on

The wait is finally over. Project W, the newest Resident Evil crossover with Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight, arrives today for PC and consoles. Starting today, players can step into the Fog as Albert Wesker, Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers, complete with a rework of the Raccoon City Police Department Map, and new outfits.

Players with the Killer mindset can choose to play as Albert Wesker, known in game as The Mastermind. Wesker uses the power of the Uroboros virus to take down survivors. Wesker’s Power, Virulent Bound, allows him to rush forward at an incredible speed, grabbing anyone that stands in his path and infect them with Uroboros. Players afflicted with the virus experience a penalty to their mobility, and are easier to pick up.

For the Survivors, players can choose from either Ada Wong or Rebecca Chambers. Ada’s survival skills make her a valuable ally in the fight…provided everyone’s interests remain aligned. Meanwhile, Rebecca Chambers will go to great lengths to save a teammate in need – sometimes even risking her own life.

And as for those outfits? Players are also able to step into the shoes of Carlos Olivera, Sheva Alomar, and Hunk, thanks to the Legendary Sets available in the Project W Collection. Carlos Olivera is available as a Legendary Set for Leon S. Kennedy, while Sheva Alomar is available as a Legendary Set for Jill Valentine, and Hunk is available as a Legendary Set for The Legion.

If that’s not enough, there are seven new Very Rare Outfits available with Project W. Players can dress Albert Wesker in the Albert Wesker S.T.A.R.S. Outfit, Leon S. Kennedy in the Detective Noir Outfit, Ada Wong in the Undercover Espionage Outfit, Rebecca Chambers in the Cowgirl Outfit, Jill Valentine in the S.T.A.R.S. Outfit, Feng Min in the Jill Cosplay Outfit and Felix Richter in the S.T.A.R.S. Uniform Outfit.

The Resident Evil Project W Chapter for Dead by Daylight is available now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.

2007 FPS Horror Game ‘Dementium: The Ward’ Heads to PlayStation Today [Trailer]

In a blast from the past, developer atooi will release today Dementium: The Ward for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The first-person horror shooter originally got its start on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, before making its way to the 3DS in 2015, and finally landing on the Switch last October.

The PlayStation version of Dementium offers up “crunchy retro” and revamped HD display modes (presumably, this is similar to the free update the Switch version received last year), and has been “built from the ground up for the big screen”. Obviously, the game will lose its touchscreen capabilities from the Nintendo consoles, but will still run at a silky 60 frames per second.

Dementium: The Ward centres around William Redmoor, a man with amnesia, who wakes up in a seemingly abandoned medical ward. He soon finds out that he’s not quite as alone as he initially thought, as demonic creatures are roaming the hospital. Equipped with a flashlight and a nightstick, William must not only fend off the creatures, but also solve puzzles and find the exit and escape.

No word on if the sequel, Dementium II (which was also originally released in 2007 for the Nintendo DS), will be given the same treatment.
