More Leaked Images Purportedly From the ‘Silent Hill 2’ Remake and ‘Silent Hill: Sakura’ Appear Online

Published

on

Things have been stirred up again for Silent Hill fans. A new set of images from an alleged Silent Hill 2 remake have appeared online, which have also been circulated via Twitter user Andrew Marmo aka @the_marmolade. The images in question have been verified by noted leaker Dusk Golem, who had leaked images from an in-development Silent Hill title earlier this year.

According to Dusk Golem, the images in question are from a “no-budget proof of concept thing” by Bloober Team, which was part of an internal pitch demo from Bloober.

Adding more fuel to the fire was a second leaked of images from the Silent Hill 2 remake concept pitch, alongside new images of a game called Silent Hill: Sakura, which is where the British-influenced screenshots (the screenshot with the hundred post-it notes and the “post-it monster”) back in May had originated. The one slide listed Sakura being for the PlayStation 5 as a downloadable title, while another slide lists the Silent Hill 2 remake as a “starting point” for a longer-term strategy that includes the potential for sequels and collaborations with indie developers. The latter slide corroborates with the rumour that Konami had reached out to several developers about reviving the Silent Hill IP across multiple games.

As they’ve done before, neither Konami or Bloober Team have acknowledged the leaks, nor have the images been DCMA’d from @the_marmolade’s Twitter page.

Big thanks to RelyOnHorror for the updated leaked images.
