Hardcore Mode Now Available as Free Update for ‘The Callisto Protocol’

Published

on

Right on schedule, Striking Distance Studios has released a new update for The Callisto Protocol that adds a new Hardcore Mode to the game. The free update pushes your skills to the test, limiting your ammo and health drops, as well as reducing contraband value and buffing up your foes.

The update also addresses a few bugs and optimizations, which you can read up on here.

Hardcore Mode isn’t the only update now available for The Callisto Protocol, as Season Pass holders also get The Outer Way Skin Collection. The first of four scheduled DLC drops included in the game’s Season Pass, Season Pass owners can also expect to receive The Contagion Bundle in March and the Riot Bundle later this Spring, which will feature new game modes and content. Then there’s also the new story content for The Callisto Protocol that’s coming later this Summer.

The first free update arrived last month, which added New Game+ to the game, along with fixing some of the bugs that unfortunately hampered the game’s launch.

The spiritual successor to Dead Space (which just had its remake released a few weeks ago), The Callisto Protocol is out now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
