‘Agony: Lords of Hell’ Heads to Kickstarter, New Gameplay Trailer Released [Watch]

Published

After the game’s announcement back in December 2021, Madmind Studio and Team Alpha have turned to Kickstarter for their upcoming RTS game Agony: Lords of Hell. On top of that, the developer has released a new gameplay trailer of the demo for those who choose to back the game’s Kickstarter campaign.

The decision to go the Kickstarter route for Madmind goes back to the game that started it all for the company in Agony. The team has ambitious plans for the project, aiming to create four different versions of Hell as described by the world’s largest, most popular religions.

As a result, the project will require “the preparation of many assets, unique mechanics for each fraction, dozens of new characters and beautiful scenery.” As you might expect, the Kickstarter campaign has different levels of contribution, with several tiers of rewards. Those include access to the aforementioned demo, copies of the final game, its soundtrack and more.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Agony: Lords of Hell focuses on the fate of the main characters of Agony and Succubus – King Nimrod and Vydija. After Nimrod usurps the throne at the end of Agony, a war for the rightful owner of the throne breaks out between the lords of Hell that rule over the different lands. Players will be tasked with maintaining Nimrod and Vydija’s foothold, but also expand their empire and crush opposition.

Currently, you can wishlist Agony: Lords of Hell on Steam.
