Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced that their hugely popular cult sim Cult of the Lamb will be getting its first major content update next week in “Relics of the Old Faith”. The free DLC will arrive April 24 for PC and consoles, and introduces a brand-new post-game storyline, combat improvements and more.

“Relics of the Old Faith” sees a mysterious being tasking you with conquering revamped crusades, enemies and bosses with the help of Relics, which are usable items that “bestow unique effects” upon the Lamb that enhance combat. You can conduct Sermons to unlock new Relics and keep track of them in the Relic Book as you uncover mysterious new lore concerning “The Three Ducks.”

Combat improvements also come in the form of Heavy Attacks, which enable players to embark on deeper and more challenging expeditions than before. That also includes tougher enemies, which also boast stronger attacks.

Meanwhile, new mechanics include allowing you to assign a Follower to do the meal prep for you in the Kitchen, Shared Shelters that house up to three Followers, as well as a new Crypt to store your mounting corpses. New Farm Plot Signs encourage Followers to organize their crops. You’ll also now have new types of Followers, including badgers, penguins, raccoons and more.

Lastly, you can now and preserve your treasured memories forever with Cult of The Lamb‘s new Photo Mode.

Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.

Kickstarter Goal Achieved for Video Game Adaptation of ‘Lady Death’ Comic With ‘Lady Death Demonicron’

Lady Death fans will be getting a video game to call their own. Franchise creator Coffin Comics has announced that Lady Death Demonicron, a canonical beat-em-up video game in the Lady Death universe, has been funded on Kickstarter and is currently in development for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch, courtesy of developer Art of Play Games.

With Lady Death Demonicron, the Lady Death franchise marks its 30th anniversary, which began way back in 1994 (though the character first appeared back in 1991). The Kickstarter for Lady Death Demonicron launched just three days ago, and has already reached its goal of $150,000 USD, with the campaign on until May 24.

“We’re excited to handcraft the next chapter of Lady Death in video game form with the creator of Lady Death Brian Pulido and his incredible team,” says Ash Nicholls, Director at Art of Play. “It’s time for Lady Death to conquer the video game space with the leadership of Art of Play,” says creator Brian Pulido. “Demonicron is true to Lady Death’s savage spirit. I can’t wait for players around the world to get their hands on it.”

Lady Death Demonicron will centre on Lady Death (naturally), who just wishes to mourn her friend in peace. Unfortunately, a horde of demonic enemies has swarmed the cemetery gates. These malevolent forces hound Lady Death between realms, invoking a hunt through alternate realities that bring forth a sinister mystery. Poised to help is Ravenheart, a haunted swordsman prepared to accompany Lady Death through these ominous realms in search of answers to a convoluted mystery.

In Demonicron, players will move through hand-drawn environments, accessing the heroine’s lethal sword skills, destructive magic, and strong intuition. You’ll be able to upgrade your kit as you battle through the beat-em-up’s 15 levels, earning new swords and uncovering brutal finishers to slay a path to victory.
