‘Meet Your Maker’ Gets Mid-Sector Update Ahead of Next DLC Launch
The “Rising Tides” Mid-Sector update for Behaviour Interactive’s post-apocalyptic co-op shooter Meet Your Maker is landing next week on August 15th. In addition, the developer also dropped hints as to what’s in store for the game’s next major update.
The biggest additions in the update will be Social Raiding for every outpost, as well as the introduction of daily challenges. Every outpost will now always be searchable from the Social Raid menu. Progression and rewards will still only be tied to the Outposts raided from the standard Raid Map, but now Builders will be able to share their levels without worrying about losing out on standard raid rewards. As for the Daily Challenges system, this replaces the current Chimera Tribute system. Raiders will now have a steady stream of exciting new tasks to complete and will be rewarded for doing so.
As for the rest of the gameplay improvements, Meet Your Maker will have an additional 5 new Mods and Augments. All of the new Mods and Augments will be unlockable with in-game currency. In addition, three new solid-color decals will be made instantly available for all players to further push the themes of the “Sector 1: Dreadshore” update that was released this past June.
Lastly, Behaviour Interactive also teased the upcoming Sector 2 DLC for Meet Your Maker. Titled “Shattered Peak”, the DLC will be ice-themed, and is “right around the corner” for release.

Meet Your Maker is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

Inspired by 80s Slashers, Short Horror Experience ‘Dead Stop – No Vacancy’ Launches August 13 [Trailer]
Fresh from their work on last year’s Beneath, developer Camel 101 has announced that their next title, a short, standalone first-person horror experience in Dead Stop – No Vacancy, will launch on Steam on August 13. Accompanying the announcement is the release date trailer, which thanks to the narration, is appropriately hammy.
Players in No Vacancy step into the shoes of Nancy, a hard-edged investigative reporter whose journey to the town of Crestfall takes an unexpected turn. Stranded without directions or a GPS signal, she arrives at the remote Paradise Motel just as daylight begins to disappear. What initially appears to be an inconvenient stop soon becomes an investigation into the motel’s dark history, and whatever may be hiding beneath it.
No Vacancy is the first entry in Dead Stop, a new anthology of short, standalone horror games inspired by classic horror stories and unsettling places. In this case, the game takes inspiration from 80s slasher films.
Rather than relying on cutscenes to tell its story, No Vacancy‘s has the player discover the story through the various objects you examine in the game. As such, you’ll also be dealing with various environmental puzzles built around the motel’s dark history. Completing the vibe is the game’s throwback graphics, which don’t quite have the typical PS1-era aesthetic, but it’s enough to give you that old-school feel.
Ahead of the game’s launch, you can also check out the demo via the Steam page.
