‘Alan Wake: Flashback’ in ‘Fortnite’ Brings Players up to Speed [Trailer]
We already know that Alan Wake will be taking a trip to Fortnite in the coming weeks. But Epic and Remedy have decided to add a little something more for those newcomers to the Alan Wake series that (still?!) haven’t played the original game, as well as those in need of a refresher in Alan Wake: Flashback.
Ahead of the release of Alan Wake 2, Fortnite players can check out the Alan Wake: Flashback Island by entering the code 3426-5561-3374. According to the description of the trailer, players will “rediscover the mysteries of Bright Falls and shine your light on events from Alan Wake” with the Island, which was created in collaboration with Remedy Entertainment, Spiral House and Zen Creative.
Meanwhile, Alan Wake will arrive in Fortnite proper on October 26 at 8pm ET, when the Alan Wake Outfit, alongside other in-game cosmetics in the “Waking Nightmare” Set will be available in the Item Shop. As an incentive, those players who have purchased any edition of Alan Wake 2 on the Epic Game Store before October 27 will have already been granted both the Alan Wake Outfit and Alan’s Messenger Bag Back Bling in Fortnite.
Alan Wake 2 arrives on October 27th for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series.
WB Games and Rocksteady didn’t exactly have the best result with Batman: Arkham VR, but publisher Oculus Studios and developer Camouflaj (who worked on Marvel’s Iron Man VR) are looking to give it a go with Batman: Arkham Shadow for the Meta Quest 3.
Launching “late 2024“, there’s not much info on the game at the moment, though via the Summer Game Fest X account, we’ll be seeing more from Arkham Shadow when Summer Game Fest rolls around on June 7. The announcement trailer for Batman: Arkham Shadow does provide a little teaser with its description, stating “Gotham City is in danger. And you’re the only one who can save it.”.
