‘Diablo IV’ Expansion “Vessel of Hatred” Coming Late 2024 [Trailer]

After a couple of seasonal updates for Diablo IV, Blizzard has finally announced the first expansion for the action RPG with Vessel of Hatred”. Announced during BlizzCon 2023, the expansion is currently slated for a late 2024 release.

Currently, full details about the “Vessel of Hatred” expansion are still to be released, though Blizzard did drop a few tidbits. The expansion will revolve around players learning the fate of the prime evil Mephisto and his plans for Sanctuary. The new expansion will see players travel to the lush jungles of Nahantu, which no doubt will remind Diablo II vets of the Kurast jungles and its “Mephisto runs”. No word on if we’ll see the return of the Fetish and their blowdarts.

The “Vessel of Hatred” expansion will also “explore fresh ways to play” Diablo IV, which will include a completely new Class that’s “never seen before in the Diablo universe.”

As for the current season and last month’s release of the “Season of Blood” update, Blizzard says that players will have a lot more to look forward to later this year, with more end-game experiences and the “Midwinter Blight” holiday event that’s expected to be announced before the season concludes.

Diablo IV is out now on PC via Battle.net and Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
