‘Gore Doctor’ Development Update Focuses on Fear; Demo Available Now

Published

on

Salient Games is back with a new development diary update for their upcoming Saw-esque Survival Horror game Gore Doctor. The diary touches on the unconventional foes you’ll face as you try to escape the institute, which includes not only the horrific creatures that roam the halls, but also the psychological.

Touting the development of Gore Doctor is progressing “at a blood-curdling pace”, the team is working hard to craft an experience that will leave fans “haunted and exhilarated”. That involves crafting a nightmarish landscape “where every shadow conceals a new horror”, with the line between reality and nightmare is blurred.

Not only will players battle the physical monsters present in the game, but also surviving the “unforeseen phenomena and bizarre events.” Salient Games provides the example of a swarm of flies descending upon you, leaving you to navigate through this manifestation of dread all the while trying to keep your sanity intact. According to the devs, the game is designed to “keep you on the edge of your seat, never allowing you to feel truly safe.”

Sure, it’s easy to talk up the game, but what about actually experiencing it? Luckily, Gore Doctor now has a demo available to give you a taste of what’s to come. The game is slated to arrive next year on Steam, but you can currently wishlist it. And if you’re still on the fence, you can always watch the demo walkthough that was recently released by Salient Games.

After the success of Jurassic World Evolution and its sequel, you knew that Frontier Developments would be itching to return to the well again. That appears to be the case, as the developer/publisher has announced that they’ve signed a deal with Universal for a third entry.

According to the press release, the third game in the series is scheduled for release between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026, with the game expected to be officially announced in the coming months. I very much look forward to providing more information on our exciting plans for the franchise in the future.”
