Engage in Sinful Pleasures With the “Sins of the Flesh” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ on January 16 [Trailer]
After teasing fans late last year about a new DLC (if they reached 300K in followers, that is), developer Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced that Cult of the Lamb will indeed be getting that DLC in Sins of the Flesh later this month. The free DLC will introduce “a slew of worldly pleasures” on January 16th for PC and consoles.
The update coincides with Cult of the Lamb reaching a lofty milestone of 3.5 million units sold since its launch back in 2022.
Sins of the Flesh includes new progression systems that add more depth and complexity to managing your cult. Your followers will “delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings and wrathful doctrines.” Invite your most loyal Followers to the inner circle of Disciples, a revamped levelling system of Follower progression.
Those who have played the game know of the “scatological” aspects. The DLC introduces shiny poops, which have special effects like yielding fruitful crops and adding XP to your broom. Levelling up your broom in turn will make chores faster and more effective. Automation improvements include a new tier for the Janitor Station and the Storage Structures so your Followers will take better care of themselves.
For those pesky heretics, you can now blow them away with the new Blunderbuss weapon. The gun deals huge damage in close quarters to bring a new combat playstyle for your crusades. If you charge it up even more with a heavy attack, you can aim to snipe enemies from long range.
Each of your cultists can flaunt their Follower fashion at the new Tailor building. Once unlocked, each cultist can wear their own outfit, with 23 different styles to choose from.
And yes, in keeping with their promise, Massive Monster has allowed your Followers to engage in carnal pleasures. As a result, they might find an egg. Nurture the egg for it to hatch, then care for the offspring until they’re ready to pledge allegiance to your Cult.
As an extra bonus, once the DLC is released the Steam version of the game will sport a 40% discount for one week (from January 16 to the 23).
Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
