2.5D Action Horror RPG ‘Withering Rooms’ Coming to Consoles [Trailer]

Published

on

While it’s still in Early Access on Steam, publisher Perp Games and developer Moonless Formless have announced that their horror action RPG Withering Rooms will be seeing a console release. The news comes with a new trailer showing more gameplay, though it hasn’t been announced when the console versions will be released, or which consoles will be included.

According to Moonless Formless, Withering Rooms is now feature complete, though it still requires “additional polish, balance and bug fix patches” prior to leaving Early Access, which will most likely come later this year.

This news comes on the heels of last month’s Bloody Man Update for the Steam version, which added new monsters, new items and a New Game +  mode to Withering Rooms.

The game is set in a procedurally-generated Victorian mansion that changes each night. You play as Nightingale, who has been sent by her father to Mostyn House, the aforementioned mansion that just so happens to be filled with a variety of monsters. You’ll be sneaking through Mostyn House, gathering weapons, magical artifacts, keys, crafting materials and the like. Along the way, you’ll be having to fight said monsters. To ease the threat of death, you can perform rituals to preserve items from night to night, or permanently level up.
