After kicking off their pre-sales campaign last week for the upcoming TerrorBytes: The Evolution of Horror Gaming documentary, CreatorVC is bolstering the roster of participants for the five-part series. They’ve announced that in addition to the 35 participants (which you can check out from the official TerrorBytes website), an additional three personalities have been added: Denis Dyack, Sam Barlow, and Yoshiro Kimura.

For those who need a refresher, Denis Dyack is the director of the 2002 Lovecraftian GameCube horror title Eternal Darkness, along with being the director of the first entry in the Legacy of Kain series, 1996’s Blood Omen. Sam Barlow is the director of Immortality and Her Story (and currently working on two new projects), as well as a writer on Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Lastly, Yoshiro Kimura is mind behind the cult PlayStation 2 favorite Rule of Rose, and the executive producer of Grasshopper Manufacture’s Shadows of the Damned (which is currently being remastered).

Dyack, Barlow, and Kimura join a cast of 35 other horror gaming figures, including Roberta Williams (Phantasmagoria), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill composer), Hifumi Kouno (Clock Tower), Hubert Chardot (Alone in the Dark), Thomas Grip (SOMA, Amnesia, Penumbra), Mary Kenney (The Walking Dead: The Final Season), Mathieu Coté (Dead By Daylight), Jeremy Blaustein (Silent Hill 24), Ben Leffler (Exmortis), Abby and Tony Howard (Slay The Princess) and more.

TerrorBytes is currently in a pre-sales campaign until March 3rd, with supporters set to receive a range of exclusive limited-run physical merchandise as well as to gain access to 15+ hours of exclusive live events over the next year ahead of the documentary’s release in March/April 2025.

Upcoming “Unholy Alliance” Update for ‘Cult of the Lamb’ Adds Local Co-op and More [Teaser]

Published

on

Cult of the Lamb players will be getting more free goodies later this summer with the Unholy Alliance update. Coming August 12, the update introduces a brand new playable character in the Goat, which coincides with the game allowing local co-op.

With the Unholy Alliance update, the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign will be playable in local co-op. Players will also be able to enjoy special 2-player versions of existing mini-games, such as Fishing and Knucklebones, as well as choose from a selection of weapons, tarot cards, curses, and corrupted relics as your cooperative crusades progress.

The Lamb and Goat can also swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back to back, and even deliver a critical hit when their attacks are in sync. Good news for those who prefer to stay alone in their corner: they will be able to benefit from various new powers.

In addition to the addition of cooperative play, the Unholy Alliance expansion adds several tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, character traits and quests, as well as the addition of new secrets to discover.

More information on the update will be released as the launch date creeps closer. Cult of The Lamb is available now on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch.
