Folk Horror Roguelite ‘Harvest Hunt’ Launches This May on Steam [Trailer]

Published

on

Despite missing its original Early Access release last July, the team at Villainous Games Studio has been hard at work to polish their upcoming first-person folk horror roguelite Harvest Hunt. So much so, that the team has announced a May 2024 release, complete with a new trailer during IGN Fan Fest, as well as announcing Neonhive Games as the publisher for Harvest Hunt.

This new trailer (featuring Samantha Béart of Baldur’s Gate 3 fame) reveals the plight of your village, Luna Nova. Death awaits the village every Harvest season. You have been chosen as the next Warden, to protect the villagers from the creatures that threaten to devour them – and to ensure their survival by gathering the precious resources they need to survive.

You will don the Warden’s mask and brave the Farmlands around Luna Nova. Seal your fate each night by drawing cards, known as Whispers, to unlock otherworldly abilities and modifiers that may help or hinder you in your vigil, affecting both the environment and the Devourer stalking your every move.

“As a small team, we are over the moon that the trailer for Harvest Hunt will be appearing at IGN Fan Fest. We have worked hard to have a fun, spooky and replayable game for players the world over,” said Mark Drew, Creative Director of Villainous Games Studio. “Having the astounding Samantha Béart bring the chills to our trailer was a natural choice. We can’t wait for everyone to see it and get to play the game in May.”

Currently, you can get a taste of what to expect later this year with the demo that’s available now on Steam.
